    PMFBY Enrolment Process for New Farmer

    Procedure

    Loanee FarmersNon-loanee Farmers

    All farmers who have been sanctioned short-term seasonal agricultural operations (SAO) Loans /KCC (Kisan Credit Card) for the notified crops from defined FIs.Farmers enrolment will be done by FIs through NCIP portal.

    Farmers may approach nearest Bank branch/ PACS/ authorized channel partner of insurance company within cut-off date, fill-up proposal -form completely in prescribed format, submit form and deposit requisite premium to bank branch/ Insurance Intermediary / CSC along with necessary documentary evidence regarding his insurable interest in cultivating land/ crop (e.g. ownership/tenancy/ cultivation rights) proposed for insurance. Farmer may be asked to furnish additional detail if required in any specific state basis notification issued.

    The farmer desiring for coverage should open/operate an account in the branch of the designated bank, and the details should be provided in the proposal form.

    Insurance Proposals are accepted only up to a stipulated cut-off date as declared in notification.

    The farmers should mention their land identification number in the Proposal and must provide documentary evidence with regard to possession of cultivable land. The cultivator must furnish area sown confirmation certificate.

Please undertake all transactions (financial or otherwise) only through registered SBI general branches or registered Agents/POSP/Intermediaries of SBI General Insurance or through our website.

    BEWARE OF SPURIOUS PHONE CALLS AND FICTITIOUS / FRAUDULENT OFFERS. IRDAI or its officials do not engage in activities like selling insurance policies, announcing bonuses, or investing premiums. The public receiving such phone calls is requested to lodge a police complaint.
